CHECK CHECK CHECK

Not long ago, my supervisor and colleagues asked me to extend my contract with them cos they have some very important projects upcoming and my "successor" won't be able to cope. I hesitated to give them an answer cos although it's a few days more, it'll clash with my plane departure date. They are very nice to me all this while so I wanted to help them out, so I told them that I'll check whether it cost to change my departure date. Well, I'm so LUCKY that they asked me to extend.

Yesterday, I was emailing to SIA to check and was entering my ticket details. Type, type, type....happily typing away when I got the shock of my life!

"Date of dep: 30 JUL"

What the heck! I thought I told SIA office staff that I want to depart on 30 Sep?! I can't believe my eyes @@ lor, so I went over and asked Gary to look at my ticket - same shock face....

I went crazy and started hallucinating saying goodbye to my air ticket....I flew down to SIA office and explained to them. Thankfully, they accepted my reason and changed my departure date at no cost at all! (Can you imagine that feeling?! Just like flying from hell to heaven! )

So the morale of a REAL life story: ALWAYS ALWAYS CHECK YOUR TICKET OR OTHER DOCUMENTS VERY CAREFULLY!!!

Check this out, a jet pack! I've saw this on newspaper not long ago. Sick of traffic jams? Just carry this and off you go flying by controlling the joystick-like thing. It can go pretty fast and you don't need any license! I thought it's only possible in games...anyway, can't imagine people flying everywhere...hahaa...

Another interesting thing I saw on newspaper: Knife-proof clothings
Those who have been keeping update with the global news will realise that there's a sudden rise in knife attack cases in Japan. Sadly to hear it's happening in such a safe country. So give rise to this knife-proof clothings and the sales is apparantly very good...Cool inventions but also a sad sign of how our world is!
