Early in the morning we attempted to "climb" the Tygerberg Nature Reserve which is just above the place where we are residing. As there are different routes which will lead to the top, we took the "Golden Mole" route as recommended by my bro b'cos it's the longest route.

Looking from the starting point, the top seemed to be quite close but the route simply took us around, down & up the hill. It took us about 1 & half hours to reach our destination. The weather is sunny but cooling, so it's enjoyable climbing it. I guess the reason why it took us so long to reach our destination was that there were so many things to take photos. Almost all plants around us, right down to the grass-like plant on the ground were blooming with flowers! It's a pity that we didn't spot any golden mole but we manage to see not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 tortoises! The 1st & 2nd tortoise were medium size - guess it's the father or mother. The 3rd one was very tiny and fearful of us. It hid itself as soon as we got close.

The 4th one was interesting. We were on our way down when my bro called us to decend cos there's dark clouds approaching. While I was still on the line with my bro, Susan-jie suddenly start shouting "AH AH...." and pointing at the route infront of us. Guess what, there's a giant (really big trust me) tortoise walking/running upwards towards us at a pretty shocking speed. This made me changed my stereotypical thinking of tortoise being slow! haha...
"Is it smiling? or is it my imagination..?"
Guess Susan-jie was also too shock to think what to do, I also blurred out lor. The giant tortoise stopped infront of us, looking cool with a strand of grass at the side of its mouth, as if waiting for us to give way. No choice at all, we *siam* to the side into the grass. It then look at us again before continue rushing up the slope...
"Sir, wait up...you you..."
"....you are speeding!!!"
